band jamming

“Easy?!?” you may be thinking, “I don't even know where to start. I'm too afraid I'm going to embarrass myself, play something inappropriate to the jam, or simply don't know what to play! When I tried it, it sounded horrible!”

Well, yes, this happens when you try to do it without help and guidance...

...but the reality is that jamming with other musicians - that is, creating music in real-time together with other people - is easy and fun if you know what you need to do... and especially what NOT to do.

It Looks Like A Complete Mystery At First...

After asking a few of our students, we have found that many of you would like to jam with other musicians but don't know how to do it.

Here’s what you reported to us about your experiences:

  • You're not sure how to communicate with other musicians to make music on the spot
  • You don't know how to use your skill and abilities to make music in real-time... in fact, you don't even know if you have enough skills to make music in real-time
  • The whole process of "jamming" is kinda mysterious and "magic". How can musicians 'improvise' together and make it sound good without knowing exactly what the others will play?
happy jam session

But the worst of all...

Some people have not even TRIED to jam with other musicians (yet) ... simply because they don’t even know where to start from!

And what if you are a beginner and know only a few chords? Do you even have a chance to jam with other musicians with what you know NOW? (spoiler: Yes!)

So let me tell you... if you feel this way, this is all completely normal.

Jamming with other musicians is not hard... like riding a bicycle or driving a car is not “hard”... but it's not easy to learn how to drive a car by yourself! A little bit of help from someone who already knows how to drive a car can go a long way!

So I completely understand your frustration.

Just “trying harder” is not going to help you here - you need somebody to explain you “how to do it”. And then jamming will become one of the most fun things to do with your instrument!

How We Can Help You

If you don't know how to jam, we have the solution for you. A course to learn how to jam with other musicians:

But this is not a ‘theoretical’ course: you will actually jam with other musicians! we will start with easy, guided jams, and we will gradually move into more challenging, unscripted jam sessions, building your confidence and abilities step-by-step...

... so that by the end of the course you will have not only the confidence and experience of being able to jam, but you will know several different ways to play with other musicians (yes, there is not only 'one' way) and you will be able to actually do it in practice!
